As part of a national awareness campaign, our studio partnered with Sustainable Tourism Malaysia to create a series of three 30-second animated shorts featuring Sang Kancil - a beloved figure from Malaysian folklore reimagined as the icon for sustainable tourism. Through playful yet purposeful storytelling, the videos explore the core pillars of sustainability: improving local livelihoods, protecting nature for future generations, and preserving local culture.
Sang Kancil, known for wit, adaptability, and wisdom, was chosen to inspire audiences to take thoughtful actions that honor Malaysia’s rich biodiversity and cultural heritage.
This project aimed not only to educate and entertain but also to lay the groundwork for a long-term brand identity - positioning Sang Kancil as a recurring ambassador for eco-tourism in Malaysia. With future applications ranging from educational materials to merchandise, this campaign represents a meaningful intersection of folklore, animation, and environmental advocacy, driving awareness through culturally grounded, character-driven storytelling.
The journey continues!
